Offset ID ("we," "our," or "us") is committed to protecting your privacy. This Privacy Policy explains how we collect, use, and handle information when you use the Offset ID mobile application and related services (the "Service").
1. Overview
Offset ID is designed to let you create, manage, and share digital business cards and branded landing pages. We intentionally collect as little personal data as possible and do not sell or monetize user data.
2. Information We Collect
2.1 Information You Provide
When you use Offset ID, you may provide:
Contact information you choose to include on your Offset ID (such as name, email, phone number, social links, or business details)
Card designs or visual assets (for example, uploaded PNG images)
Account information (such as email address for login)
Purchase information (plan type and transaction identifiers, processed securely through the App Store)
You control what information appears on your Offset ID and what you choose to share.
2.2 Automatically Collected Information
We may collect limited technical information necessary to operate the Service, such as:
Device type and operating system
App version
Anonymous usage data (for example, feature usage or crash reports)
This data is used solely to improve performance, reliability, and user experience.
3. How We Use Your Information
We use your information only to:
Provide and operate the Service
Display your Offset ID and associated landing pages when shared
Sync and store your designs and settings
Improve app performance, reliability, and features
Communicate with you about your account or important updates
We do not use your data for advertising purposes.
4. Third-Party Services and Data Sharing
We do not sell, rent, or trade your personal information. Your information is shared only:
When you choose to share it
With service providers required to operate the Service, under confidentiality obligations
Clerk (authentication and account management)
Apple services (Sign in with Apple, App Store purchases, Apple Wallet pass delivery)
Infrastructure providers that host and secure our backend APIs
If required by law
5. Data Storage, Retention, and Security
Some data must be stored on secure servers to enable sharing. We retain account data, card metadata, and entitlement records while your account is active. If you delete your account in-app, we permanently delete associated backend records and clear local app data, subject to limited retention required by law. We take reasonable technical and organizational measures to protect your data, but no system is 100% secure.
6. Free Trial and Purchases
Offset ID offers a 7-day full experience trial. We store the trial start date locally on your device to determine trial eligibility. If you make a purchase (Lite at $4.99 or Pro at $14.99), the transaction is processed entirely through Apple's App Store. We receive only the transaction identifier and plan type to activate your account — we do not receive or store your payment details.
7. Your Choices and Control
You can edit or delete your Offset ID information at any time. You can disable sharing by deleting a card or link. You can permanently delete your account inside the app: Account > Delete Account. This action deletes your account and associated backend data and signs you out.

8. Children's Privacy
Offset ID is not intended for use by children under the age of 13. We do not knowingly collect personal data from children.
9. Changes to This Policy
We may update this Privacy Policy from time to time. Significant changes will be communicated through the app or via email.
10. Contact and Jurisdiction
Offset ID is the service operator for this app. Governing law and legal jurisdiction are the same as the jurisdiction listed for the app publisher in App Store Connect.
